1st MESFIA Workshop Addressing Energy Supply Problem in Isolated Areas

2019 MESfIA project is organizing its 1st Workshop, on 7th of November, in Bandung, Indonesia, hosted by Institut Teckologi Bandung ITB. European and Asian partners of the project, stakeholders, engineers, scientists and experts in the field of energy are going to discuss and share experience regarding energy supply issues in isolated areas like islands or rural unelectrified areas.

Actually, remote areas face difficulties in satisfying energy demand. Such areas may include villages away from the grid, in forest areas and mostly islands areas all of which having difficulties in meeting their energy and especially electricity demand in the same way that large continental areas or cities are served.

Taking the aforementioned issues into account, the Workshop will cover major thematic areas regarding the energy supply of isolated areas such as policy and regulation, business opportunities, technological advancement and the role of Higher Educational Institutions in developing specialized workforce in energy supply for isolated areas, by designing tailor-made MScs.
