MESfIA participated in the International Conference on Energy, Environment and Climate Change

MESfIA representatives participated in the International Conference on Energy, Environment and Climate Change, which took place from 20th to 22th of October 2020. The Conference was held at the Robert B. Banks Auditorium, Asian Institute of Technology.

The ICUE conference focused on three areas of current global concern and challenges: energy, environment and climate change. Specifically, during the conference participants broadly discussed topics related to climate science, green house, gas mitigation, climate change impacts, adaptation in terms of technology aspects and case studies.

On the first day, in the Special Session B on Energy Access  Dr. AntoniosTsikalakis –MESfIA Project Coordinator- presented virtually the “Training Needs regarding Gensets for Isolated Areas”. Also, during this session the following topics were discussed: Challenges in Using Renewable Energy for Islands in Indonesia, Potential of Renewable Energy in selected Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS) Countries to achieve NDCs in 2030, Sustainable Fuelwood Production In Kenya: Potential Role of Community Forest Associations, Pongamia as a Potential Biofuel Crop: Oil Content of Pongamia pinnata from the Best Provenance in Java, Isolated Energy Management Learning Platform through Smart and Green Building Design: A Case Study of USIS Building.
